ZTE Axon 20 5G first smartphone with hidden front camera

ZTE presented on Tuesday in China its new flagship smartphone ZTE Axon 20 5G, the first mobile phone on the market that incorporates a front-facing camera technology directly under the screen, making it invisible and avoiding alternatives to current mobile phones, such as a notch, perforated screen, and removable mechanisms.

This solution is based on five technologies: use of special materials, dual control chips, circuits with a single controller, custom pixel matrix, and additional algorithms for selfies, as ZTE has reported in a statement.

 

 

In this way, ZTE has used materials with high transparency in the design of the screen to increase the amount of light received by the camera behind it and has also developed a controller and a separate dual control a processor that helps the color synchronization between the camera and screen.




Internal components and circuits are also designed to prevent image interference. For improved screen consistency and transitions, a special pixel matrix has also been introduced.

 

Finally, the 32-megapixel front camera makes use of an algorithm that optimizes its performance under different lighting conditions, with support for high dynamic range adjustments and with improvements in clarity and contrast.

It is sold from this Tuesday in China, with configurations with 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage and in blue, purple, black, and orange colors for a price that is part of the $320.
