Xbox confirms Series X to launch in November

The launch of the new generation of Microsoft video game consoles will come with the optimization of more than 100 titles.

Xbox, Microsoft's video game unit, has confirmed that its next-generation Xbox Series X console will be launched in November along with more than 100 optimized video games.

The new console, which was announced in December 2019, will be the company's "fastest and most powerful console", with 4K resolution at 60fps. Xbox has already revealed its main technical characteristics, including a graphics unit (GPU) with 12 teraflops of power and a ray-tracing capacity.

It had already been anticipated that the console would arrive at the end of 2020 and now the American company has specified in a statement that Xbox Series X will be launched in November.

This Tuesday, 343 Industries, developer of Halo Infinite, one of the most anticipated video games for the new Xbox Series X, announced that the launch of this title will be delayed to 2021, although it was originally scheduled to arrive at the same time as the console.

Xbox has ensured that its new console will be launched along with "thousands of video games" thanks to its backward compatibility with the three previous generations (Xbox, Xbox 360, and Xbox One).

The console will also arrive alongside some new titles, including some exclusives - The Medium, Scorn and Tetris Effect: Connected, among others - and more than 50 new games optimized for the console such as Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Dirt 5, Gears Tactics, Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Watch Dogs: Legion).
